Dr. Ola Abdelhadi
MD, PhD, MPH
Dr. Ola Abdelhadi MD, PhD, MPH is the team lead. She is a Research Scientist at Stanford Medicine. She is trained in medicine, epidemiology and public health. Her research focuses on examining factors that influence mortality, morbidity, and the financial burdens, particularly among cancer survivors. Dr. Abdelhadi is the founder of QualityEqualCare, a healthcare startup dedicated to developing solutions that improve patient outcomes within healthcare systems. Prior to joining Stanford, Dr. Abdelhadi served as a Health Policy Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Natasha Steele
MD, MPH
Dr. Natasha Steele is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Stanford University with clinical expertise in internal medicine, surgical hospitalist care, and perioperative head and neck comanagement. She earned her MD from the University of Washington, MPH from The George Washington University, and BA from Mount Holyoke College. She completed her internal medicine residency at Stanford.
Dr. Okyaz Eminaga
Physician and AI Scientist
Dr. Okyaz Eminaga is a Physician and AI scientist with 13+ years' experience advancing medical innovation through machine learning, digital pathology, and treatment response modeling. Secured $2.8M+ in NIH and DFG funding. Published widely, led cross-disciplinary projects, and mentor researchers to improve outcomes through biologically informed AI, clinical insight, and data-driven healthcare solutions.

Dr. Lara Khansa
Sonny Merryman Professor
Dr. Lara Khansa is the Sonny Merryman Professor in Business Information Technology and the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Human Resources at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business. She joined Virginia Tech in 2008 and advanced to Full Professor in 2019. Dr. Khansa has significantly contributed to enrollment growth, student success, and curricular innovation, particularly during her tenure as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs from 2017 to 2023. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems, an M.B.A. in Finance and Investment Banking, and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, as well as a B.S. in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut. Before her academic career, she worked as a software design engineer at GE Medical Systems.
Dr. Hoda Eldardiry
Associate Professor
Dr. Hoda Eldardiry is an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech in the Computer Science Department and the director of the Machine Learning Laboratory. Her research specializes in robust machine learning for information extraction, forecasting, and control. Before her tenure at Virginia Tech, Dr. Eldardiry led the machine learning research group at Xerox PARC. She earned her doctoral degree from Purdue University in Computer Science, where she was honored with the Early Career Distinguished Scientist Award.
Dr. Almuatazbellah Boker
Collegiate Assistant Professor
Dr. Almuatazbellah (Muataz) Boker is a Collegiate Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. He received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2013. His research interests include estimation and control of dynamic systems, multi-time scale systems, and singular perturbation methods.
